Dental Crowns
Restore Damaged Teeth with
Do you have problems with a Broken or Decayed Tooth? That tooth can cause discomfort, interfere with chewing and speaking and make you feel self-conscious about your smile.
Dental crowns are tooth-shaped caps that are put over teeth in order to cover those teeth and restore its size and shape and give it a better appearance.
Why Might Patients Need One or More Crowns?
Patients from Coachella, San Diego & Imperial Valley visit Dentalite with DDS Ballesteros to get Aesthetic Crown Treatment and dental implants. Our prices are more competitive and offer the best quality, and more patients are aware that a healthier smile, besides improving general health, improves self steem. Here are some of the reasons why you might need a crown:
-
For protecting weak teeth from becoming broken or for holding together a tooth that has cracked.
-
For restoring a tooth that is already broken or one that is been worn down severely.
-
To support and cover a tooth that has a big filling if the patient doesn’t have much of their tooth left.
-
For holding a bridge.
-
For covering severely discolored or misshapen teeth
-
For covering dental implants
-
For making cosmetic modifications
What does getting a crown involve?

A crown procedure usually requires two appointments. Your first appointment will include taking several highly accurate molds (or impressions) that will be used to create your custom crown. A mold will also be used to create a temporary crown that will stay on your tooth for approximately two weeks until a dental laboratory fabricates your new crown.
While the tooth is numb, DDS Ballesteros will prepare the tooth by removing any decay and shaping the surface to fit the crown properly. Once these details are accomplished, your temporary crown will be placed with temporary cement, and your bite will be checked to ensure you are biting properly.
At your second appointment, your temporary crown will be removed, the tooth will be cleaned, and your new crown will be carefully placed to ensure the spacing and bite are accurate.
