DENTAL FILLINGS

Restoring broken teeth can be very expensive, but composites can save you money over time. With a silver filling, the tooth weakens and becomes more prone to breaking. A composite filling, on the other hand, bonds to the tooth and restores most of its original strength.

Dentelit uses mercury-free, metal-free white fillings made of durable, tooth color materials. Whether you need to treat a small cavity or replace old leaky fillings, our tooth colored restorations provide you with an option that’s both beautiful and durable at the same time.

When the structure of the tooth has been compromised, and decay has created huge cavities, an onlay restoration or crown will be the gold standard to restore it.

Dental Filling or Crown?
weak tooth structure = crown

Composite fillings can have amazing benefits for your oral health. The restorations will anhance your teeth by preventing cracks and other structural damage. Also, when Dr. Ballesteros removes bacteria and decayed tissue from your teeth, the process will prevent the decay from spreading and affecting the rest of your smile.

They generally require less prep work and enamel removal, and, unlike amalgam fillings, they will not compromise the structure of your tooth by expanding and contracting with changes in temperature.

In several cases, more prep is required; these cases will need to be restored with either onlay restorations or crown.
