Restore Your Smile with a
Natural-Looking Porcelain Dental Bridge
What is a Dental Bridge?
A dental bridge is a false tooth (called a pontic) that is held in place by the abutment teeth on either side of the gap. Although pontics can be made from a variety of materials such as gold or metal, typically they’re made from porcelain to aesthetically blend in with your natural teeth.

A dental bridge can fill the gap left by multiple missing teeth. Dr Alfredo Ballesteros can provide both traditional and implant-supported bridges at his Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, practice. He will perform a complete exam to evaluate your jawbone health and determine the right type of bridge for your needs. At Dentalite, our bridges are crafted from high-quality porcelain. Therefore, no matter what type you receive, your restoration will have a beautifully more natural look, and the color will harmonize with the rest of your smile.

Placing a Dental Bridge
To place a traditional bridge, Dr. Ballesteros will need to reshape the teeth that will support your restoration. He will smoothly prep them by trimming away several layers of tissue. In this way, he can make room for the material of your bridge, allowing it to lie naturally and keeping it from disrupting the natural force of your bite.
He will always numb your teeth prior to this step, resulting in a imperceptible discomfort procedure. After this initial process, the dentist will take impressions of your teeth, and our partner lab can create a bridge to match these specific dimensions. You will receive a temporary bridge in the meantime, and when the final prosthetic is finished, Dr. Alfredo will attach it to your teeth.
If you are going to receive an implant-supported bridge, the process will involve extra steps. Dr. Ballesteros will first need to perform implant surgery. Then he will place your restoration once you have healed. Typically, this final step will take place four to six months after the implant posts have been surgically set.
